The Blue Hole was made famous by Jacques Cousteau’s exploration in 1971 of which he declared it one of the top ten scuba diving sites in the world.

• The Great Blue Hole (divers- 130ft / 40 meters)
• Half Moon Caye Wall (divers- 50ft-60ft / 15-18 meters)
• Long Caye Wall also known as The Aquarium (divers- 50ft-60ft / 15-18 meters).

The Great Blue Hole is a very deep dive that reaches the limits of recreational scuba diving, and is suitable for intermediate and advanced divers with at least 25 logged dives. For safety purposes, all divers joining Belize Underwater for a trip to the Great Blue Hole must schedule a “check out dive” prior to departure.
